Introduction

Bagmati province office under CTEVT, established on 2075 Magh 10, is a provincial body of CTEVT. Province office has got the authority of monitoring CTEVT run Technical Schools/Polytechnics, TECs school and affiliated organizations of Short Term Training for quality assurance of technical education. It has also the jurisdiction of conducting entrance examination; publishing its result, conducting the final/annual/semester (Theory & Practical) exams, supervision and monitoring of exams, result preparation of TSLC level. Beside this, it also has right to control with collection  of WEP Marks, Registration form,  application from for Final/Back Exam, maintain information system about workforce production and their employment status. The province office also arranges experts for inspection of feasibility /physical facility for new institution affiliation process in accordance with accreditation division and other divisions of CTEVT. The institution aids in preparing skilled workforce for work in the formal and informal sector as well, which helps in poverty alleviation and plays important role in the prosperity of the nation.

Determining the journey of prosperity of the country through technical & vocational education and training, linking the overall education with technology and construct the pathway of scientific development is the key challenge of technical education of today’s Nepal. The ability to develop technology is an indicator of the prosperity of today's world, so the state can achieve that goal only through the development of technical education, vocational training and empowering with its associated institutions. With the favorable environment and support of the state, CTEVT should take the responsibility to bring technical revolution and technical brightness in Nepal. The prosperity that the government is talking about today is not possible without technical education.  Linking the education to skill, skill to employment, employment to labor, labor to production, production to worldwide market and determining the prosperity through the earnings from worldwide market is the prerequisite of today’s education of Nepal. So, Bagmati Province will be the milestone for fulfilling the dream of the nation  “Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali” and “Skilling Nepal for Peoples’ Prosperity”  of CTEVT. The organization is focused in the necessary dynamism, capacity to adapt in the light of expanding knowledge and change in socio-economic requirements of modern society.
